About Whale Watching Jervis Bay

Book Direct with the Owner at Whale Watching Jervis Bay with Go Out in Jervis Bay, for all your Attraction and travel needs.

Itinerary

Jervis Bay provides a spectacular backdrop for whale watching, so much so that it has become renowned as the premier whale watching destination in NSW.

With its prominent position on the south coast of NSW, Jervis Bay can offer one of the longest viewing seasons available to whale watchers in NSW, spanning from May until late November each year.

Also of interest is the fact that, especially on the southern migration, a majority of the whale viewing can be done in the sheltered waters of Jervis Bay meaning that you will be less likely to be subjected to the elements of the open ocean.

Our ‘eco-vessels’ give us the ability to get you out to the whales in very quick time so that you can spend more of your cruise viewing the whales rather than looking for them.

Our ‘Eco Whale Cruise’ gets you up close and personal with our majestic ‘Jervis Bay Whales’ in the quickest possible time.

Huge drop in visitor numbers due to Covid so frequency of whale and dolphin cruises much less frequent. The boat crew were great, very knowledgeable and pleasant. The sightings of the sea birds and sea animals can be fleeting so stay on high alert and have your camera ready at all times. We would highly recommend this experience when in the area during migration season.

A lovely couple of hours. We probably chose the best day when the ocean wasn't too rough. No real up close and personal encounters but you can see whales and we saw a couple of dolphins on our way back in. A great 2 hours for any one of any age.

We went on 2pm long weekend was pretty full. Saw whales from a distance and dolphins up close. We saw 10 or so whales. 1 breech, few fin slaps. Dolphins swam under and alongside the bow.Tip #1. Get a seat there if u can on bottom level for a close encounter on return trip to dock. Great view of point perpendicular and the lighthouse. You have to stand up to see anything bc everyone else stands up. Exciting to see whales. Sell drinks ,chips and beanies down below out of the wind. Takes half hour roughly to get out and half hour back so about an hour whale spotting. We had smooth sunny conditions but still needed a jacket do rug up. Tip #2 Booked via groupon for $40 per adult . Tip#3 they accept dine n discover vouchers but u need to do in person or over the phone. Overall a pleasant trip.

I had a great afternoon watching whales with this knowledgeable crew. They were fun to cruise with and passionate about their work. So professional and also excited to be looking at these incredible creatures.

My wife and I had a great morning out Whale Watching. Weather was perfect for viewing. We went on the three hour cruise which was nice taking in the scenery and features of Jervis Bay. We got see three whales frolicking out near the heads for about one hour which was a fantastic experience Saw a pod of dolphins on the way back which was also special. Very friendly crew with a good knowledge of the area and the sea creatures of the area. Highly recommend this trip

Such friendly, professional staff, really personalised service, chatted with everyone, checking everyone was alright when it got a bit rough, and really lovely with our kids, bringing them up to 'captain' the boat. They also took an extra hour in order for everyone to see whales. Highly recommend.

The guides did a really goog job of spotting other wildlife. Saw fairy penguins sunfish fur seals. Able to see up close coves and other significant landmarks. Despite seeing no whales it was a really enjoyable trip

My friend and I returned the next day after we were kindly offered a free trip as we only caught a glimpse of a whale and her calf (even though the company didn't have to). We had an absolutely amazing experience watching the same mother and calf bonding together in the bay. The staff adhered to all covid safety measurements and were very accommodating and knowledgeable, taking the time to chat to passengers and to see if they were comfortable. Would highly recommend watching whales with this business and we will be back again with our families next year. Seeing whales in their natural environment is a special event and we did not expect such a wonderful experience as understand that it's pot luck of where they can be in the big ocean. Thank you Lisa and Belinda

Had a great morning trip with these guys. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable- spotted the whales from kilometres away! Had great sightings of a mother and calf although this obviously depends on luck on the day as well. Staff made sure everyone on the boat got a good view of the whales too. Recommend!
